In possible things that could happen today, not even counting SNO-M-G! Numerologists are anticipating some type of major event, not least of which is the possibility of “a massive UFO display over the world’s principal cities.” But! “Aliens will neither land nor communicate on that date; they are aware from eons of experience with other planets in similar conditions their sudden intervention would cause fear and panic.” Whew. Still, tinfoil hats should be in the “ON” position just in case.

I wrote this post at 10:30, and scheduled it for 11:11:11, thereby creating a wormhole through time. So did anyone notice anything? ANYTHING? Am I dead? ARE WE DEAD?

  2. Um no. It means absolutely nothing. As some one who is somewhat interested in Numerology, I’ve looked into it a bit and the usual kooky theories which are utterly devoid of any empirical evidence or fact. Wait until 3/3/11, the infamous “33” , associated with the “illuminati”, 911 theorists, Freemasonry rumors and of course Crowley, Huxley et al (33 is “master number” in freemasonry and figures prominently in cabalistic passages and rite, and there have been numerous (get it!) works published that have attempted to link all the above). That day ought to make the Numerologists pee themselves. Personally I think its a result of hippies from Berkley who took too many trips or hit the hippie lettuce too hard, as it appears that is who is writing this wacky stuff

  3. For a particularly odd attempt to piece all the above together, “Cosmic trigger-the final secret of the Illuminati” by Robert Anton Wilson is pretty entertaining. Delving into (wait for It), numerology( a large section involves the number “33”, surprise surprise), tantric sex, Cabalism, ESP, ritual, aliens, altered states, the Iluminati, Leary(the foreword is in fact by Timothy Leary), Crowley, Huxley,Freemasonry, UFO’s etc. Well, least there is’nt a lot he left out

The MAJOR problemo with this calendarian conspiracy is that we (England and the US) switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar around 17fitty2 (the french were smart enough to do it 200 years earlier) thereby losing……………wait for it…………………..11 days. This makes all such talk rather a big pile of shite.
