A couple summers back you turned down a production job at a new bagel company downtown and the job went to me instead. It wasn’t much, and I only ended up working there for about six months, but so many lovely people and opportunities have opened up to me as a direct result of that silly, part-time job. It gave me the freedom to move forward in my career and a warm place to call home at a time when I really needed one. Thank you! I hope you’ve been just as lucky : )

This just makes me SICK. Way too nice and not funny at all.
This one is tough to snark, so I’m just going to post my favorite Stevie Smith poem.
It was my bridal night I remember,
An old man of seventy-three
I lay with my young bride in my arms,
A girl with t.b.
It was wartime, and overhead
The Germans were making a particularly heavy raid on Hampstead.
Harry, do they ever collide?
I do not think it has ever happened,
Oh my bride, my bride.
Do you see what happens when the I Saw You feature is taken away?!?
You surprised me, IAnon. I really thought this rant would turn into a schmear campaign, but you kept it positive.
Don’t worry about the other person. They probably found a barista or clip-boarding job paying between $9-12/hr.
In Portland terms, that’s pretty lucky.

If luck and opportunity found you in the bagel shop it would have found you anywhere. The right attitude and person attracts people and doors open. Just keep it up.
