Three words: Fish and chips! Oh my god! Seriously, some of the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Plus, they got the whole 50 beers on tap thing going for them. Nothing equates NW winter love like some fish and chips and a Rogue chocolate stout on a dark, rainy night.
Massive beer selection and great fish & chips! One of my favorite places in Portland to go for dinner and drinks and hanging out for darts and more drinks! I'm not a huge fan of the British menu so I just stick with the fish but friends rave about the Scotch eggs. Downsides for some are that it is pretty smoky and can be really crowded at times, but worth it!
I agree with former reviews that this place might have the best fish and chips in portland. The beer is awesome and the atmosphere is a cool english pub style. The thing that i don't like about the place is the f-ing pretentious bar tenders. It's been a while since i've been there, hopefully that has changed.
Amber tinged walls from years of smoke, fat loser neighbors taking about the good times gone, the typical brown and white menu of crappy fried bar food made by people that don't give a shit, service that cares more about their cigarettes than their job. Cocky "I have been pouring beer here for ten years" bartenders. Fucking beer menus that need to be updated. Go someplace else this place is sad.
We love this place! Yes, the service can seem a bit sketchy but get over it and look around the place. They're running their asses off to bring the myriad number of customers the best damn fish and chips on this side of the pond. If fish isn't your gig, enjoy a beer and a game of darts. Great pub. Go.
