Restaurant Details

Formerly indie destination acme, Plan B has a decidedly more heavy metal vibe (at least as far as the staff goes) The space is wood paneled with some booths, a nice stage/dance floor area and a large bar dominates. In warmer months, large widow panels open onto one of the biggest patios on town. The menu consists of more-or-less fancified bar food.

This place now feels like the antithesis of the creeping were-hipsters. The employees seem to be pretty nice yet take no shit at all. Post punk themes hold true; good food that isn't totally tricked out, good beer deals....It feels like Portland SHOULD......Bike Friendly as hell. Did I mention the monstrous patio? YOU could hide out there for weeks.....

This place could be a great venue. I am not sure if this something they do all the time, but they played on a large screen, 70's hillbilly porn for about an hour before the bands started for the show on Sat Oct 4th.
The did not turn it off when the first band started until someone went and told them to turn it off.
It was amusing for about 10 minutes, then became very annoying and made most uncomfortable.
So bands, if you want to have the audience uncomfortable and not remember you, but the hillbilly porn, then go ahead and book a show there.
But I for one, will never be a patron on this place again.

I have heard deathrock and punk everytime I have gone here. Its hard to find that and its wonderful that this exists in Portland.
