I’ve got an audio recording of Matt Davis singing Karaoke at last night’s Mercury holiday party. His choice of song? Carly Simon’s “Nobody Does it Better.”

I’ll make you all a deal that’s making Davis squirm: The online charity auction has raised, as of right now, $5,600.
If it hits $7,000 by 5 pm today–that’s in three hours–I’ll post all two and a half minutes of Davis’ crooning.

Karaoke makes my ears bleed. I was hanging in the VoiceBox lobby after 9 pm, and I was pleased to discover that the various rooms are indeed soundproofed.
I thought the idea would’ve been to encourage people to donate… not make them want to steal all your charity auction items and donations just so $7,000 is never, ever, EVER reached.
