Did you miss 'em? Portland Night Market returns for its first event of the year.

There’s lots to love in our weekend guide, with festive events from the Portland Night Market‘s Tunnel of Love edition to the Q Center’s Heated Rivalry Valentine’s Night from The Off Beat Grand Opening to Volume Bomb Presents Valentine’s Day Crusher. Plus, if the urge for new ink strikes, go get a Friday the 13th flash tattoo!

FRIDAY

COMEDY

X-Prov: Improvised X-Files
It turns out The X-Files is easily adapted from your favorite ’90s paranormal TV adventures into a super silly on-stage sketch show. Kickstand Comedy’s fully improvised performance keeps all of your favorite tropes: the will-they-won’t-they love story, the monster of the week format, and the runaway conspiracy theories. Starring comedians Tessa Waring and Mo Merrill as Scully and Mulder, expect high sexual tension, audience suggestions, and jump scares even the performers don’t know are coming. BRI BREY
(Kickstand Comedy, Ladd’s Addition, $15)

EverOut is The Mercury's new website devoted to things to do in Portland and across the Pacific Northwest. It has all the same things you're used to seeing from Mercury EverOut Staff, just in a new spot!...
