Here’s an unfortunate Christmas card that was sent out one day before the brutal San Bernardino shootings…
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the card comes courtesy of Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, who posted the card on her Facebook page. Unshockingly, Fiore is a card-carrying member of pro-gun groups including the NRA, the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, and Second Amendment Sisters. When asked by CNN if she regretted sending out the card a day before the San Bernardino shootings, here’s what she said:
“What’s regrettable is governing and forcing innocent people to be defenseless while allowing and inviting terrorists into our country knowing the murderous outcome,” she said in an email to CNN. “My strong message to you is its time Americans begin protecting America. Get armed, get trained get your head out if the sand and be prepared.”
In other words, “Be a coward like me and my family. Buy a gun and make the problem exponentially worse.”
I don’t give a shit about their guns.
But whoever staged this photo needs to be fucking shot, it’s a goddamned atrocity. The colors are butt-ugly, the photoshopping on the background looks like it was done by a dead monkey. This whole family should be embarrassed to put out such an awful card.
Guns don’t kill terrorists. Only Jesus’s daddy kills terrorists.
It looks like they are on their way to hold up the buffet.

This is an AWESOME card! These people aren’t taking the recent shootings lightly at all! Try a home invasion at their place and there probably won’t be enough meat left of the home invader to put in a baggie! Anyone who thinks this makes things worse never has their house robbed, gotten mugged, raped, car-jacked, or been close to a mass shooting. If you want to go out like a whiny wimpy fag-bastard, that YOUR prerogative. This Lance Corporal is going out defending what’s his! Yes, because arming a bunch of amygdala-driven, uneducated, clannish half-wits, until now, has clearly been working wonders on both peaceful attitude and the actions that are birthed from the current arc of attitudes. Giving the capacity to turn erroneous, reflexive, paranoid beliefs into deadly action by arming these imbeciles, who scarcely comprehend the mechanisms of life (i.e. in denying evolution, among other science-based ideas) and, thus, could hardly be expected to appreciate life, is about the most foolish thing one could support. Soap-boxing is pointless though, in this case; the only people who will say “Amen” to what I’m saying are people who already agree with me; the only people who will hurl some incompetently derived, tangentially relevant, childish insult at me will be Republican numbskulls who already disagree with me and have (what they think are) intellectually supported reasons for their violent ideologies. Just looking at the photo of those psychos (and soon-to-be) reveals their inborn suspicion. Even in their smiles, one sees the impending impetus for violence…particularly on the listless looking bitch-of-a-matriarch, with that smile that carries with it no iota of genuine warmth, but a “fuck-with-my-family-and-I’ll-fuck-you-up” kind of look. Those little kids don’t stand a chance – their first emotions, instead of the panoramic, non-judging emotions only children usually get to enjoy, their first lessons will be of paranoia, xenophobia, lessons in only valuing the clan and how everyone “else” is the enemy…

@ujfoyt: the problem is that terrorists really aren’t “coming in” – for the most part the terrorists in this country are American white christian extremists; and no one is “forcing innocent people to be defenseless” – that’s just a massive misunderstanding of what pro-gun control people are going for. Universal background checks and a ban on assault rifles does not equal “forcing innocent people to be defenseless.” So, in conclusion, the problem is that this family is obnoxious, and they don’t understand the issues.
