Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. That wasn’t an American event, whatever it was. The writing on the chalkboard was not English, the currency symbol was not a dollar sign, the decimal separator was a comma, not a period.

  2. Haarlem (on her mic) is in Holland. It is a suburb of Amsterdam. She is speaking Dutch. Also, this is obviously not in the US, and likely a setup/fake to fool Dutch people (and Americans who thought it was real).

  3. It’s Dutch and a *pisbak* is indeed a regular urinal, in this case out in the open. Not a fake. I don’t think the tourist is a fake either. Poor guy.

  4. Also, that man is from Alberta. Which, you know, is in Canada. Check out the Edmonton Prospects (baseball) logo on his hat.

  5. Humphrey, you just got owned by a bunch of Portlanders that know an astonishingly amount about urinals, the Netherlands, nether regions, Porta-Pottys and Canadian baseball.
