Here, via Bleeding Cool, is an ad for a Cinemark app that gives you coupons for letting the app dim your phone’s screen during movies.
I guess that’s one approach. I just don’t think the assholes who believe their little data stream is worth more than the enjoyment of every other human being in a movie theater are going to have their solipsistic hearts turned by the promise of fifty cents off a large popcorn.
I was at that theater chain recently. They also show an ad before the film that says that if they catch you with your screen illuminated they will throw you out of the film. The audience cheered afterwards!
