Do you have tickets to see Death Cab for Cutie and the Hold Steady at the Memorial Coliseum on Thursday, October 20? Too bad, buddy.

Due to a scheduling conflict, Death Cab for Cutie’s show at Memorial Coliseum is being rescheduled. Another Portland performance at a venue to be determined will be announced shortly. Refunds are available at point of purchase. Credit card orders will be automatically refunded. Our apologies on this inconvenience.

Was the band scared away by FrightTown (which is also going on in Memorial Coliseum at the same time)? Regardless, opening act the Hold Steady will be playing—sans DCFC—the same night at the Wonder Ballroom. Get your tickets here.

  1. Just so everyone knows – “scheduling conflict” is bullshit. You don’t have a scheduling conflict eight days out from a show, sorry. A cancellation this late with a cryptic reason ALWAYS means poor ticket sales.

The presale was probably only at 750-1200 and they were too proud to move the show somewhere more reasonable where it should have been in the first place. Instead they threw a fit, canceled the show, and shit on the 1500 or so fans who probably would’ve turned up to see them. As if that’s an offensively low number. Oh well.

    I wish them the best.

  2. “Aw schucks. Looks like folks will have to wait afew measily mothes to see one of the trendiest, whitest, most milque-toast bands on Earth.”

Waste of bandwidth. And also that’s just, like, your opinion, man.
