Last night CNN hosted a Town Hall in which surviving students of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre, parents, and community members grilled Florida politicians (including NRA supported Marco Rubio), and NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch. If you haven’t already, WATCH IT ALL HERE. Because it is, plain and simply put, FIRE. Watching these incredibly smart teens holding these politicians and gun-nut mouthpieces responsible for their despicable actions was inspiring, while the grief being exhibited by the parents of the dead students was at times overpowering. It also focused a harsh light on the hypocrisy and willful obstinance of these politicians, the NRA, and even the cops who think the only way to stop mass shootings is to curtail the rights of the mentally ill. In short, it was fascinating, heart-breaking, at times infuriating, and a must-watch. Here are some post-discussion reactions from Twitter.

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

One reply on “CNN Town Hall: The NRA (and Rubio’s) Very Bad Day”

  1. CNN should fire mealy mouthed fuck Wolf Blitzer and hire a couple of teens to do the job he should have been doing the past 10 elections – not letting lying politicians and industry shills get away with their bullshit.
