This is old, but it has just recently come to my attention so now I am bringing it to yours. Did you know that McDonald’s has a weird promotional website for black people?

Here is its absurd description:

Also, McDonalds has apparently successfully claimed ownership of this phrase:

Sarah Shay Mirk reported on transportation, sex and gender issues, and politics at the Mercury from 2008-2013. They have gone on to make many things, including countless comics and several books.

  1. I guess they’ve never read “The Little Prince” over at MickyDCentral. Baobab trees DESTROY small planets like the one we all share!

  2. They also have a website for Asian people. And apparently have claimed ownership of the phrase ‘I am Asian’.

I can’t remember the links to these, it was a while ago, but I’m 99% sure they were factual.

  3. The last time I used the phrase “deeply rooted” was in relation to toenail fungus. I guess McD’s is in the same conceptual ball park.

  4. This is kind of awkward to admit after a couple years and 1,300 comments, but…..

I was operating under the assumption that Blogtown was the McDonald’s website for black people.

  5. Smirk is looking for a job as a McDonald’s manager? I guess that make sense to leave the Mercury, then she could afford a car and better cat food.
