Just in case you’re tempted to fly to Philadelphia to stay in a hotel room and get a butt implant—as I’m sure so many of you are—you might want to read this first:
A 20-year-old British tourist died early Tuesday after she allegedly flew to Philadelphia to get silicone injections into her buttocks at a Hampton Inn in southwest Philly, sources say.
Police executed a search warrant at the Hampton Inn on Bartram Avenue Tuesday afternoon with suspicions that a woman is renting rooms in which she performs butt implant procedures, sources say.
Suspicions of these hotel-room medical procedures came about after a woman visiting from England died 1:30 a.m. Tuesday after she had a butt enhancement procedure at the Hampton Inn and was brought to a Delaware County hospital, according to court documents.
I double-checked this story on the local news site philly.com and came away with essentially the same information, with the major difference being that the commenters on this site made a ton of Sir Mix-a-Lot jokes. (Also, apparently philly.com gives it’s commenters points? For what, I’m not sure. Strange website they have over there in Pennsylvania.)
I just can’t believe a woman would want to do this. It must’ve been the way she was reared.
But what’s really tragic in all this is what she left behind.
I hope no one makes her the butt of a joke.
