SAVAGE LOVE: Show and Tell

To confess (a sexual dalliance) or not to confess: That is (as usual) the question.

Iโ€™ve been married to my wife for nine years and we share a beautiful life together with our two young children. I came out to her as bi late last year after working through some major intimacy issues that are still ongoing. She accepts me and the issues are getting better. We are monogamous and I feel like we are still not as intimate as I would like. I donโ€™t blame her โ€” our lives are chaotic. Needless to say, sex is very important to me. Working with a therapist, I think Iโ€™m hypersexual due to past sexual trauma with men.โ€ฆ

Good Morning, News: Rene Gonzalez Sues Portland, Artemis II Astronauts Start Their Journey Home, and Trump Threatens to Destroy Iran and Take Down Human Civilization

Good morning, Portland! It’s been way too hot the past couple days. Luckily, it’ll cool down today, with forecasts predicting a high of 63 degrees. The weather is expected to warm up again later this week. The last piece of the headline of this article is the most important piece of news here, but I have included some other information as well. It’s pretty hard to go about one’s day after the president of the United States levies horrific threats at a nation of 93 million people. Take care of yourselves and others. Deal Or No Deal?

If local money goes into the Moda Center renovation, labor advocates want a smooth employee unionization in return.

The Mercuryโ€™s Do This, Do That: Your Top Events for April 6-12

Twenty good reasons to leave the house this week.

This past weekend at Cooper Mountain Nature Park, I watched a smattering of wild iris and pond lily sway against a backing scene of scraggly oaks, jays and juncos flitting in between. I sat on a log with my partner for two hours, staring at the pond, chatting about nothing and everything. Two ducks floatedโ€ฆ

Snakes on the Dance Floor

Barbara Forever Puts the Body-ody-ody in Body of Work

A new documentary about experimental filmmaker Barbara Hammer is a rare glimpse of a cinematic lesbian good time.

To Barbara Hammer superfans, Barbara Forever may seem lacking. Where are the jump cuts, the weird overlays, the extended shots of a woman masturbating, superimposed over rock formations?  Brydie O’Connor’s documentary about the experimental filmmakerโ€™s life is more aimed at someone with an extremely finite attention span for experimental film, even the queer kind. Composedโ€ฆ
