Eviction Representation for All presents Umberto D
As an elderly pensioner struggles to secure food, shelter, and companionship during Italy’s postwar economic recovery, he notices that human kindness seems to have vanished in the face of rapid modernization. This heartbreaking neorealist film was directed by Vittorio De Sica (Bicycle Thieves). It’s presented by Eviction Representation for All, a tenant-led initiative to bring right to counsel to Multnomah County eviction courts.
