The James Beard Foundation published its list of semifinalists for this year’s round of awards today, and Portland came away with a respectable lucky 13 of them:

• Kachka and Langbaan for Best New Restaurant

• Tim Healea of Little T for Outstanding Baker

• Clyde Common for Outstanding Bar Program

• Pok Pok‘s Andy Ricker for Outstanding Chef

• Kristen Murray of Måurice for Outstanding Pastry Chef

• And Portland is neck-and-neck with Seattle for number of nominations in the Best Chef: Northwest category: Greg Denton and Gabrielle Quiñónez Denton (Ox); Kevin Gibson (Davenport); Gregory Gourdet (Departure); Trent Pierce (Roe); Sarah Pliner (Aviary); Ryan Roadhouse (Nodoguro); and Justin Woodward (Castagna).
