My coworker and I have officially arrived into sexual topics which is odd and interesting because he is a coworker and about ten years older than me, but who am I to judge. Any who the stories have become rather gross and I do not know how to shut down the topic without sounding rude or defensive. He tells me intimate details about his wife. I know more than I want to frankly. Finally after one year and four months I had reached my limit and bluntly told him his sex life is sad and ever since that he has not brought it up. Is he mad at me? I don’t know how a man’s brain works…We talk about other things which is fine by me! Best regards,

  1. Both of you deserve each other. Any man that brings up his sex life with a female coworker is an idiot. Any woman who listens to it for a year without expressing disapproval isn’t much better. No woman I work with would put up with that for 10 minutes, much less a year. IMO, both of you created an unprofessional work place.

  2. You’re (at minimum) fifty percent of a problem discussion.

You get into intimate conversations, decide it’s too much for you, and do a kindergarten-level ad hominem logical fallacy.

He is the pathetic (“sad”) one?

You are unprofessional, juvenile, devoid of self-examination.

And hallucinate that *he( is the “sad” one.

    Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus.
