Internet dating! A technological dream come true for lonely nerds? Or a great big (and sometimes creepy) “P” in the “A”? YOU BE THE JUDGE!

Oh internet dating… we meet for wine and dessert. You’re attractive, have a job, have things to talk about but no spark. Nothing making me want a second date. We say our goodbyes, say the “I had fun, thank you.” And off to our separate homes we go. Four days later, you send the text, “When can I see you again?”

And this, of course, is when things went awry. Read the whole thing here, and while you’re snooping around in other people’s problems, leave your own rant or confession in the I, Anonymous Blog: where, sorry, but there just isn’t a spark.

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)
