For some reason the Mercury thought a reoccurring Blazers column would be a good idea.
Ezra Ace Caraeff
Ezra Ace Caraeff is the former Music Editor for the Mercury, and spent nearly a third of his life working at the paper. More importantly, he is the owner of Olive, the Mercury’s unofficial office dog. His writing has appeared in The Fader, The Stranger, The Onion's A.V. Club, ESPN's TrueHoop network, and countless fanzines that are thankfully long out of print. He makes a mean tofu scramble and yes, Ace is really his middle name.

The End Hits Burrito Bet [Or, Because I Was Unable to Eat Four Burritos, I Now Must Attend a Papa Roach (or Worse) Concert]
My pile of (delicious) failure. I lost a drunken bet last night. Now you can decide my concert-going fate: Papa Roach, Cody Simpson, Candyrat Guitar Night, Kenny Chesney, or the Moody Blues. Either way, I lose. Vote here.

Game Four of the Western Conference Playoffs: Abridged Edition
If you missed the absolutely spectacular Blazers victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, we can’t blame you. It was sunny outside and you were probably barbecuing while floating down the Sandy River or something. Thankfully the keen video editing skills of one “MaxaMillion711” has compressed the entire game into one convenient 5:12 clip. There […]
Nice Headline, ESPN Dallas
Here is the “Dewey Defeats Truman” of sports headlines, courtesy of ESPN Dallas. Not sure how much longer it will be up, but until they take it down, have a look at the alternate universe where the Blazers got blown out. Of course, that didn’t happen.

Alright, Who Threw Something at Mark Cuban?
Towards the end of last night’s Blazers victory over the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban had some sort of interaction with the rowdy Rose Garden crowd. During a timeout, the outspoken Mavs owner seemed to be taunting Blazers fans, sort of like a WWE villain (Ted DiBiase was the “Million Dollar Man,” so I guess Cuban […]
End Hits Concert Challenge: Alter Bridge at Roseland
Last night we sent Travis Ritter to see Alter Bridge at the Roseland Theater. Who’s Alter Bridge? Oh, it’s just a band made up of the members of Creed, but with a different singer. This is what happened.
